ini Jeeps at the Dead Sea ISrael

The Mini-Jeep Tour Route

We'll go from the Neve Zohar gas station to the old Route 90 (the unused section). We'll ride along one of the ramps that divide the southern basin into evaporation ponds.

We'll talk about the sinkhole problem, the condition of the Dead Sea, the evaporation ponds, and the Dead Sea Works.
We'll continue on our way, passing by the groundwater pools and ascending the eastern wall of the flood reservoir that dams the Nahal Heimar riverbed and collects the winter floodwaters.

We'll stop beside the spectacular salt block: At the foot of Sodom Mountain, there is a huge block of salt, unique throughout the world, a treasure from the past when salt was of paramount importance.
We'll get in the mini-jeeps and proceed to the magnificent chalky soil sculptures, which provide an array of vistas and shapes.

We'll see another important treasure from ancient Egypt.
We'll cross the dry riverbed in a quick drive over the pebbles and deep wadi clay that pads its flow.
And, finally, we'll head straight back to the gas station, full of stories.
